KL Holiday Local Gift Guide: Gourmet

I’m a big foodie. I enjoy all of the foods, and drink all of the wines, give or take an Aperol Spritz and some salmon tartar. Or maybe I’m hungry for steak. Or maybe I want cheesecake? Are you hungry yet?!

There are lots of local gourmet options. I’m talking high end restaurants, take-out options, specialty food stores, and you’re getting my point. So here are some fun gourmet options for the foodies in your life, or maybe you’re looking for a fun client or hostess gift? If you’re asking me, gourmet gifts are usually, pretty much always a good idea.

I’ve rounded up 5 of my favorite gourmet destinations, and be warned: you’ll probably be hungry by the time you finish reading this!

Cardinal

Only because you look like I could use a beer… and Cardinal is one of the newest locations in town! I may be a big wine lover, but I LOVE a good brew, especially when it comes from a local brewery like this one. One of my go-to gift ideas for the holidays, especially for the people who have everything (I’m looking at you, Dad), is a basket filled with my favorite local craft beers, and I might just have to include this new local gem this holiday season!

Furley Bread, Meat & Wine

Bread. Meat. Wine. Cheese. Literally all of the things that I love the most. This incredible local destination not only has such great food options, but has really awesome gift ideas as well! They carry a bunch of local items, and if you’re looking to craft the perfect gift for the foodie in your life: this is the place, trust me.

Mikko Espresso & Boutique

There are few things in life that I take as seriously as my morning coffee. Like seriously. Don’t even talk to me before that, or bring me one from Mikko (skinny latte with one Splenda, ya know, just in case!) All jokes aside, Mikko’s is definitely a local favorite, and if there’s someone special in your life who loves coffee just as much as I do, you’ll probably find some gift options here that will do the trick.

Que De Bonnes Choses

Not just your ordinary health food store. Que De Bonnes Choses has SO much to offer in so many different categories, and the awesome staff really makes the trip worth it. They have so many great gift options from fair trade items, to local delicacies and even natural bath and body products… definitely lots of gift options to go around!

The Main Kitchen

Those were the days when I got dressed up, threw on some heels, and met some of my favorite people for some of my favorite local food. The silver lining is that, even though the dining room is closed, they have LOTS of incredible gourmet options for the chef in your life to whip up some extraordinary meals at home. ***ALMOST*** as good as chef Tino would do it!

Thanks for reading! For the last installment of this local gift guide series, we’re getting creative. Can you guess what I have in store for you?
